Change Governance Framework
Every change is controlled, documented, and reversible.
Why Governance Matters
The overwhelming majority of outages are caused by changes. Not by hardware failure, not by cyberattacks. By someone deploying something without understanding the blast radius.
CloudPresto's change governance framework ensures every infrastructure change follows a controlled workflow: risk-assessed, approved, executed in a change window, and reversible.
The Change Workflow
Request & Classification
Every change starts with a request that includes scope, justification, and risk assessment. Changes are classified as standard, normal, or emergency.
Impact Analysis
Dependency mapping, blast radius estimation, and rollback planning. We know what will be affected before we touch anything.
Approval & Scheduling
Standard changes follow pre-approved procedures. Normal and emergency changes go through the appropriate approval gate with stakeholder notification.
Execution & Verification
Changes applied within the agreed window with real-time monitoring. Post-change verification against defined acceptance criteria.
Audit Trail
Every change (who requested it, who approved it, when it was executed, what was affected, and whether it succeeded) is logged with full attribution. This isn't just good practice; it's compliance-ready documentation for SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001, and more.
